ABOUT

Elizabeth Santos is an Integrative Women’s Health Naturopath in the Adelaide Hills.

Qualified physiotherapist, mother, passionate advocate for women’s health across the lifespan, Elizabeth has recently published original research looking at the sexual health experiences of breastfeeding mothers in Australia. Her research is under publication in Midwifery Journal, you can read more here.

With over twenty years of clinical experience, she has studied and worked extensively in the field of women’s health across both physiotherapy and naturopathy. Recently she has furthered her education in the emerging field of Matriatrics, in addition to completing postgraduate studies in integrative women’s health, integrative reproductive health and human health and the microbiome.

While Elizabeth’s clinical interests are broad and encompass all aspects of women’s health including reproductive health, pregnancy care, postpartum and perimenopause, her heart lies in caring for mothers, and being sensitive to their unique healthcare needs. Woman-centred frameworks and individualised care are at the core of her approach. She is currently furthering her skills in health policy and clinical governance and enjoys exploring the translation of health research into policy and clinical practice.

Elizabeth’s work is very important to her, but motherhood is too, and she dedicates much of her time to caring for her children and basking in their glory. Bushwalking, oil painting and writing are other hobbies she enjoys, as well as attending and hosting women’s circles.
